Historic Motoring Ventures is back again with its Private Treaty Sales event at the Bangsar Shopping Centre (BSC) after a successful round held earlier this year. The event which showcases pristine classic and vintage vehicles started on 14 May and will continue to be held till this Sunday, 18 May.
The Private Treaty Sales event is a perfect place to find your next pride and joy, and you are treated to an array of yesteryear examples. The range includes a 1959 Mercedes-Benz 190 SL (W121) which is going for RM450,000. Also in the list is a 1980 Morgan Plus 8 3.5 V8 with a fetching price of RM220,000.
The star of the show is an RM888,000 1971 Mercedes-Benz 280 SE Cabriolet (W111) powered by a 3.5 litre V8. This 280 SE Cabriolet is one of only 68 right-hand-drive units produced in Germany. It comes fitted with an automatic transmission and factory air-conditioning.

Whilst I’m not a fan of them wheels (308s look best on 16″ original QV wheels), I can tell you that they’re called “Borranis”. And they’re NOT cheap. Borranis are THE wire wheels of choice for thoroughbreds and was stock on Ferraris from the early 166 thru 250TR/GTO and last seen on the Daytone 275GTB/4. Jag E-Type runs Borranis too.
