According to a report by Auto Motor und Sport, Renault will be planning a revamp of its core product lineup for the near future. Renault Group executive vice president, Stefan Muller, has divulged that the first model to get the ball rolling will be the next-generation Renault Laguna.
Apart from giving the current range a makeover, the company has stated that plans are in motion to introduce several new models, mainly crossovers to be exact. Although specific details are sketchy at best, Muller has mentioned that the new models will be “high-quality products that are affordable.”
For the foreseeable future at least, the public can expect the aforementioned new Laguna along with the upcoming refreshed Renault Koleos – which has already been spotted undergoing durability tests. One particularly interesting note is the company’s reluctance to deploy plug-in hybrids.
Muller is adamant that the technology employed “is unnecessarily difficult and very expensive.” With that said, the Renault-Nissan Alliance does possess the capability to utilise such platforms should there be a sudden surge in customer demand for plug-in hybrids.

Megane 5 Doors PLEASE
fyi they do have the 5 door Megane, just not in Malaysia because not many people would buy it. Mostly because the interior is duller than Eeyore.
There is a 5 door Megane. And a wagon. And a sedan that is sold in Malaysia. It’s called the Fluence.
