Ladies and gentlemen, here stands the Infiniti Q60 concept. Teased last month and also visualised by rendering guru Theophilus Chin, the striking study previews a future coupe version of the Q50 compact exec.
That’s right, the Japanese luxury carmaker has the likes of the Lexus RC, BMW 4 Series and Audi A5 in mind. Sitting squat and wide over 21-inch wheels, the Q60 concept reminds us in places of the Q80 Inspiration concept from the 2014 Paris show, most notably in the low roofline, sculptured shoulders, grille design and ‘split’ front bumper.
The gills behind the front wheel arches and quilted leather seats are inherited from the Q50 Eau Rouge sports sedan concept, while elements such as the crescent-cut C-pillar (present on the Q50) make it look very Infiniti.
We don’t have an interior shot (yet), but Infiniti mentions hand-stitched leather, a variety of leathers, carbon-fibre accents and 2+2 seating. Now we truly can’t wait for January 13, when the 2015 North American International Auto Show opens its doors in Detroit.

hmmmm….too many lines and sculpturs…should toned down abit to look sleeker
This will smoke shit into the stupid Lexus RC…..This has real sporting pedigree from Nissan.
This is the first Infiniti design that looks pleasing to my eyes. The front grille/air intake and the front-end design looks much nicer compared to the awkwardness/ugliness of the other recent Infiniti cars. It’s even got some hints of a Maserati. If Infiniti could maintain the concept design for the production car (save for the side mirrors of course) that’ll be fantastic. But honestly, I’d rather have a Nissan badge rather than the Infiniti badge on this car..
