Remember the striking Audi prologue concept that made its debut late last year? If you do, you should be aware of its Avant sibling – creatively dubbed the Audi prologue Avant concept – which is due to make its public appearance at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. Initially revealed this February, the estate sibling of the prologue concept hints at what the next-gen Audi A6 Avant could look like.
Aesthetically, it’s pretty much the same affair as it is on the prologue concept – with a massive Singleframe grille out front and Matrix LED laser head lamps. In profile, the prologue Avant sports 22-inch wheels shod with 285/30 tyres. Moving on to the rear, a sloping tailgate tapers down into a pair of tail pipes, which are integrated into the rear bumper.
Under the hood is where things get interesting. The Audi prologue Avant concept features a plug-in hybrid drivetrain that is comprised of a twin-turbo’ed, 3.0 litre TDI V6 mill and an electric motor powered by a 14.1kWh lithium-ion battery. In total, the system pumps out 455 PS and 750 Nm of torque, resulting in a 0-100 km/h time of 5.1 seconds and a (limited) top speed of 250 km/h.
Like its drivetrain – which is set to feature in the upcoming Audi Q7 e-tron – the interior of the prologue Avant concept looks like it could make production with the most minimal of changes. The show car features a total of three touchscreen platforms, consisting of one main OLED display on the centre console and two additional, detachable units that double as part of the rear seat entertainment system.
