Renault’s current D-segment offerings of the Laguna and the Latitude will be combined to a single global model with the next generation. We’ve already started to see the new big Renault on test, and French media are reporting that it could see a debut on July 6.
The new global Renault Laguna (name unconfirmed) will be built on Nissan’s new Common Module Family (CMF) platform, and word is that the coupe model has been dropped because of low sales. It has an uphill task ahead of it, going against pretty competent rivals like the new Passat and Mondeo.
Regular contributor Theophilus Chin rendered the lead image based on spy photos of the new Laguna that we’ve seen so far. The new Renault face shared with models like the Clio, Captur, Espace and Kadjar can be clearly seen through the camo.

the old Laguna Coupe was one of the prettiest cars in D-Segment and coming out of France, especially when you consider how “good-looking” the sedan version of Laguna was. sad that it won’t be replaced, but i guess no one can deny the power of the market.
The sad thing is that I do own a Renault Laguna coupe 2010 model and its a shame that this great car is so under rated!
The looks and drive of it its simply fantastic and after this news of no replacement I guess am going to keep mine for good! It’s going to be a very unique.
