All-electronic toll collection to begin at Mambau, Lukut tolls on Seremban-Port Dickson Highway from June 1

toll booth

Following the implementation of all-electronic toll collection (ETC) at the Federal Highway’s Batu Tiga and Sungai Rasau tolls late last year, the Seremban-Port Dickson Highway’s Mambau and Lukut tolls are set to receive the same. From June 1, only SmartTAG, Touch ‘n Go or PLUSMiles transactions will be accepted at these locations – no cash.

As incentives to go cashless, PLUS is offering RM5-preloaded PLUSMiles cards at a promotional rate of RM5 each (essentially making the card itself free) at both toll plazas from May 1 to August 31. SmartTAGs will also be offered at a promotional rate of RM104.95 (inclusive of GST) from May 1 to June 30.

That’s not all – a 20% rebate will be offered to Class 1 motorists who pay electronically at Mambau and Lukut tolls between June 1 and September 30. As a result, if you pass through both tolls daily, you’ll be able to save more than RM48 a month (taking into account a 5% PLUSMiles rebate for a minimum toll payment of RM100 a month).

All-ETC systems are also in place at Perling on the Secondlink Highway (January 2014), Kempas on the NSE (January 2014), Lima Kedai on Linkedua (July 2010), Tanjung Kupang on Linkedua (September 2009) and the Sultan Iskandar Building, CIQ (December 2008).

    Promotion to save more?

Govt to force Rakyat spend more instead to reduce toll fee or abolish toll.

Wolf in sheep clothing… When will Govt stop making lies to Rakyat?

How often have you driven to Seremban and Port Dickson? Try driving there on most days after office hours and let us know if you’re fine with the congestion and queue at the toll booth cash lanes.

Wow, you’re making an issue out of less than RM1. I guess you’ve never visited any first-world countries?

Its 0.50 x how many TnG cards?

This should have been a FREE service.

In case they don’t know, we are pre-paying by submitting tolls. x the number of TnG cards out there, the pre-paid figures could be in the hundred of millions. And they collect INTEREST on these payments.

Pre-paid TnG should be cheaper, not more expensive.

When my card broke… I had some money left, but they only refunded the portion after deducting $20 administrative charge.

Oh BTW, I lived 10 years in several first world countries that have FREE HIGHWAYS. What cock you trying to talk here.

LOL more like you lived for ten years in Cambodia and Laos..

You don’t seem to know that many places have TnG reload without the 50 sen charge. Out of the petrol stations that I regularly pass through, half of them do not charge for reloading TnG, so we always have the option to reload at such stations, so what cock are you talking about?

I can understand if smarttag is expensive for the poor.
But is there any problem to get a touch n go card? I cannot understand why there are still many people willing to waste time queue to pay cash during peak hours

Simple. They are stingy lazy assholes, that’s why. To speed up the phasing out of cash lanes, there should be lower toll charges for cashless lanes, with a 10% increase in toll charges for cash lanes. Then you’ll see how fast these inconsiderate stingy idiots adopt a cashless system.

  • This should be start from the beginning, as u know ppl. use smart tag need to change their battery n buy the smart tag n the TnG card. all need money n then we already giving the money to them, even we still not use it.. no need ppl. to collect the money, so less worker needed.. so after for so long ppl. using smart tag, r not so smart n I am one of those.. Only plus company keep plus n plus, by sucking our money…

im reluctant to use electronic devices.
    for example:
    1) Smart Tag – with hefty prices RM120 or 100++ with RM 8 battery, u actually spend more and extra for each usage of those toll. and PLUS got extra income with low man power + increase sales of TnG cards and smart tags
