Audi A3 Carbon Edition – only 30 units, RM194k each

Audi-A3-Carbon-Edition-02

The Audi A3 Carbon Edition is now on sale in Malaysia. The dressed-up model is based on the A3 1.4 TFSI, and is limited to just 30 units – each with its own numbered plaque. It’s priced at RM194,333, compared to the standard car’s RM179,900 price tag.

Available only in Glacier White, the A3 Carbon Edition gets the Audi exclusive black styling package, plus the addition of glossy black front spoiler, side skirts and rear apron. Carbon-fibre side mirror caps and bootlid spoiler, as well as 18-inch five-arm rotor wheels complete the exterior makeover.

Inside, it gets Alcantara/leather combination sports seats, front and rear parking sensors and keyless entry as standard.

Immo Buschmann, Managing Director of Audi Malaysia said, “the Audi A3 Carbon Edition is a showcase of how discerning customers can select customised packages featuring our range of Audi Genuine Accessories to achieve a look that is both individualistic but still distinctively Audi for their vehicles.

“As we ramp up our presence in Malaysia, I am looking forward to introducing more products that broaden the range of our offerings for customers that want something a little more exclusive,” he added.

To recap, the base A3 Sedan uses a 1.4 litre turbocharged motor with 122 hp and 200 Nm of torque, matched to a seven-speed (dry) dual-clutch S tronic transmission. Zero to 100 km/h is handled in 9.3 seconds, on to a top speed of 205 km/h. It’s claimed to average just 4.9 litres per 100 km.

Jetta has more horses from the twin-chargers la. Faster 0-100km/h too, around 8 seconds.

        • Where is Najib's Promise? on Sep 04, 2015 at 3:32 pm

Where is Najib’s promise? Najib promised 30 million people 2 years ago before the election that he would reduce car prices by 30 percent.

He said the 30 million people need not worry because BN always kept their word and never mungkir janji. He said if people voted for BN, he was 100% sure to reduce car prices by 30 percent.

Najib, in his speech told people that BN knew how much people suffered paying for their cars and he felt very sorry for the people, thus, he was sure to reduce car prices by 30%.

It is a well know fact, that we Malaysians are paying 3x the global prices of cars. And double whammy, not only we pay 3x the global prices of cars, our cars are stripped down so bad, it hardly lacks any safety features. Even our top D segment cars each have about 20 less safety features than the same car costing 3 times less overseas. For example, a 10 airbag Toyota Camry CBU in the US cost US$22,000. In Malaysia, this cost RM180k. And loads of safety spec taken out. For example Tyre Pressure Monitoring System and many others. Camry Hybrid in the US is US26,000. Come to Malaysia, should be tax free. CKD it using Malaysian parts should be even cheaper. But here sell RM175k

Now, what happened Najib? Where is your promise?

Najib also said that by 2020, we would become high income nation. He said our GDP per Capita would be US$48,000. That would mean, per month, the average Malaysian would be earning US$4000 (RM17,000) per month.

Raja Nazrin, Sultan of Perak said this was pure lies. He said it is an utter lie because 78% all EPF contributors are earning RM1200 and below.

Do you see the average Malaysian earning RM15k per month by 2020?

        • VW DSG on Sep 04, 2015 at 3:40 pm

Jetta will breakdown because of DSG. This car uses a different dual clutch. Not the faulty Borg Warner your VW uses.

You Sir, yea you the ill informed one up there. Dont you ever dare compare Audi to what ever ass wipe shit of a contraption that you call Proton Saga. The Saga’s ride, exterior, and inside out technology has nothing to compares with what Audi has done to give you the A3. Get a reality check, and get informed.

This car is so small, I cannot even get into the back seat. I dare anyone to challenge me on this. Even the Myvi has bigger legroom for both driver and passenger.
And yet, this car is RM200k

Challenge to sit at the back…?

Use your brain please…! People who drives themselves and can afford this won’t care about how much legroom the backseats have.

If you wanna buy a car to be chauffeured, you won’t go for MyVi or the A3… You go higher…! And obviously you haven’t reach that point in life yet, why wasting time complaining…? Focus on making more money to be able to afford one.
