Volkswagen Golf Sportsvan R-Line heads to Frankfurt

Der neue Volkswagen Golf Sportsvan R-Line

The Volkswagen Golf Sportsvan will be heading to the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show in a new R-Line trim, as shown here. This doesn’t make it a full-on Sportsvan R, of course, as it’s just a cosmetic package.

The visual add-ons consist of R-Line bumpers with a unique grille, chrome elements and reshaped air inlets. A rear diffuser with chrome-plated exhaust pipes are matched with darkened taillights and side sill extensions.

On top of this, Volkswagen also offers the R-Line Sports package. This includes the optional progressive steering, tinted rear windows, a 15 mm-lower sports suspension pack and a choice of 17- or 18-inch rims in four different designs.

On the inside, the dressed-up Golf Sportsvan gets fitted with a sports steering wheel and seats in a combination of Race fabric and San Remo microfibre, complete with R-Line letterings. The same logos are also engraved on the door kick plates, while the gear lever, door panels and floor mats come with decorative contrast stitching. Alloy pedals are included too.

Growing family, put this new Cross Touran under my buying list first. Hope it handles better than the current 2WD Tiguan.
