Lexus has released a huge photo gallery of its new RX SUV, probably from an international press drive event. Having just made its debut at the 2015 New York International Auto Show, the RX has come a long way since its roots shared with the Toyota Harrier.

The new Lexus RX has grown larger compared to the Harrier (2,789 mm wheelbase compared to the Harrier’s 2,660 mm), but for now it remains a two-row, five-seater. This fact is a little surprising considering the RX’s main market, the US, which has an affinity for three-row SUVs.

The exterior is as you’d expect from a modern Lexus – spindle grille, super sharp and edgy. Project chief designer Gen Ikeda says that the new RX’s design concept was “Seductive Strength” and the SUV has bolder proportions via the increased wheelbase and bigger wheel size. He added that it has an “unmatched presence.” It looks very bold, for sure.

This mega gallery features four variants – the RX 350, RX 350 F Sport, RX 450h and RX 450h F Sport. There will also be an RX 200t, which replaces the base RX 270 model.
