Hyundai’s compact SUV in China, the ix25 or better known as the Hyundai Creta in India, will be getting a more powerful turbocharged power plant, along with other aesthetic updates to differentiate itself from the other ix25 variants, according to Indian Autos Blog.

In China, the Hyundai ix25 is now offered with a more powerful turbocharged 1.6 litre T-GDI petrol unit. The four-cylinder engine makes 160 hp and 250 Nm of torque. This front-wheel drive ix25 also gets Hyundai’s seven-speed dual clutch gearbox paired to it. Safety items include dual airbags, ABS with EBD and ESP.

This variant puts the ix25 at the top of the range (in terms of power) and is further differentiated from other variants through a couple of additional items to complement the Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design. It receives chrome inserts on the two frame grille, five-spoke alloy wheels and dual exhaust tips in the rear.

On the inside, the ix25 gets a list of equipment, this includes; a leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel, a seven-inch touchscreen system that comes with navigation and a browser, automatic climate control, cruise control, keyless start and a reverse cam.

The Creta is one of Hyundai’s hottest cars in India, managing 30,000 bookings months before it was launched leading to long waiting periods (up to 10 months). Although a hit in India, the Creta or ix25 won’t be making an appearance in Malaysia anytime soon as Hyundai told paultan.org previously – Hyundai officials said that it would only be considered after 2017.

As long as it is kimchi, it will not have RV.
As long as it is Proton, it will not have quality.
