Toyota Tacoma remade and brought Back to the Future

BTTF-Toyota-Tacoma-01

Toyota really went all out on Back to the Future day, so much so that it recreated Marty McFly’s dream truck. Fortunately or unfortunately, it’s not the vintage 1985 Toyota Hilux which he so desired, but the 2016 Toyota Tacoma with a coat of black paint.

To reminisce the days when Marty first saw the truck, Toyota has given it a custom black paint that dates back to 1985. In front, the Tacoma is fitted with modern-day yellow-covered KC HiLites Gravity G46 LEDs on the black tubular bumpers. Round the back, the tailgate is stamped with the famous Toyota name.

On both ends, the Tacoma gets a custom vintage headlight and tail lamp design. A custom light bar is also featured. Up-top, the truck is further equipped four yellow-encased LED KC HiLites Daylighter Gravity LEDs. On the side, nearer to the rear doors, it is tagged with the symbolic “Toyota 4WD D-4S” fuel injection badging.

The truck has also been given the same height which got Marty’s attention. It features off-road suspension, new Toyota Racing Development (TRD) rims wrapped with BFGoodrich tyres. Even the mud flaps come from the year 1985, just so you know.

Marty was dreaming about a Toyota Hilux Pickup, not a Tacoma.

In America, the closest they can get to the Hilux is the Tacoma. Since the current gen Hilux is not sold in America.

There was no Tacoma in the US in the 80’s. Only the Hilux. Go and watch BTTF, you’ll see what I mean.

I watched all 3 movies already. I know that was a 80s Hilux.

But what I meant is the current generation Hilux which is not sold there. They sold the early 80s Hilux but then was replaced by the Tacoma for the US market since the 90s.Meanwhile we still get the Hilux.

Which means they can only recreate the modern day equavalent with a Tacoma since that is the closest they can get to the today’s Hilux is the Tacoma.
