AC Schnitzer has revealed a properly mental version of the F20 BMW 1 Series at the 2015 Essen Motor Show. While it may look like very little has been done to the car, you’d be highly mistaken for thinking as such.
Under the hood, the BMW tuners have retrofitted a tri-turbo 3.0 litre straight-six diesel engine straight out of the BMW M550d. But rather than leave the madness at that, the engine has been tuned to offer even more power in the 1 Series than the 381 PS/740 Nm in the M Performance 5 Series.
Here, the ACS1 5.0d, as it is affectionately called, outputs a monstrous 400 PS and 800 Nm of torque. The car is capable of sprinting from zero to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds, while AC Schnitzer also claims that its 1er is capable of accelerating from 80 km/h to 180 km/h in just 7.9 seconds.
Design wise, the 150d features an AC Schnitzer custom body kit, which adds a new front apron, carbon-fibre wing mirror caps, a custom exhaust and a roof-mounted rear spoiler. There are also several wheel design options in sizes ranging from 18- to 20-inch alloys. The ACS1 also rides notably lower than a regular 1 Series thanks to a custom suspension.
Inside, the pocket-rocket gets new metallic accents, floor mats, alloy foot pedals and an optional customised gear knob with illumination among other highlights.

I rather drive Proton. At least I know they were made with hands that don’t eat pork. In Germany, everybody eat ham. And then they assemble this car. Definitely haram to use this car for me.
I think it’s haram to read your comment too, dear John.
Lately RBAs comments here are haram. DAP should have trained them better.
Dizzying diesel
i am probably in the minority who prefer the 1 series to the a class. this one looks really nice. good to see AC Schnitzer using the M Sport model instead of the standard model, like what Alpina does and just adding a front lip with the word “Alpina”.
400ps or 381ps Chris?
