Land Rover Discovery Sport enhanced by Startech

Land Rover Discovery Sport by Startech-1

German specialist Startech – part of the Brabus group – has given the Land Rover Discovery Sport a series of add-ons that comprises of exterior, interior and performance enhancements for the 2.2 litre SD4 turbodiesel engine.

To give the Discovery Sport a sportier look, a new front bumper that comes standard with LED daytime running lights are in place. A similarly designed rear bumper, which integrates the tailpipe can also be found in the back. The custom SUV sits on black Monostar R, 22-inch five stout double spoke rims wrapped in 265/35R22 tyres for the front and rear.

Additionally, to give it a lower profile, it gets Startech sports springs, specially calibrated for the low-profile tyres and stock shock absorbers. Said springs lower the ride height of the Discovery Sport by some 30 mm therefore giving it more agile handling at the same time.

Inside, a number of items can be found, including scuff plates that feature a backlit Startech logo, velour floor mats, and aluminium pedals and foot rest. Startech will also provide personalisation options for the upholstery and trim (available in wood and carbon).

Performance has been upped as well as the Discovery Sport here gets a plug-and-play Startech PowerXtra SD22 performance kit. The auxiliary control unit (which takes about an hour to install), allows the engine to produce a total of 210 hp (up from 190 hp) at 3,500 rpm and 460 Nm of torque (up from 420 Nm). The Discovery Sport completes the century sprint in 8.9 seconds – same as before.

Elsewhere, Startech says that it is developing a performance upgrade for the 2.0 litre Ingenium turbodiesel engine. Meanwhile, the Startech package for the Discovery Sport comes with a three-year/100,000 km warranty. The vehicle will be showcased at 2016 Geneva motor show.

Never seen this suv on the road but u can see plenty of them at land rover pj branch. What i know is the base model is a bit under rm400k, such a tin kosong with no leather seat. Put more money and u get premium but the price is similar to evoque. Thats why we can see more evoque on the road.
