Pricing and specifications of the new Mercedes-AMG C 43 Sedan and Estate have been revealed for the UK market. Previously known as the C 450 AMG Sport model, the sedan and estate variants have now adopted their new designations as AMG 43 models for their market debuts there.
Following the AMG C 43 Coupe that was previously launched at 46,280 pounds sterling (RM259k), the sedan version chimes in as the entry model to the C 43 range, followed by the estate. They are priced at 44,460 pounds sterling (RM249k) and 45,660 pounds sterling (RM255k) respectively. Additionally, an AMG Performance exhaust system can be specified, as well as AMG Performance seats.
The AMG C 43 variants pack a 3.0 litre turbocharged V6 that delivers 362 hp and 520 Nm of torque. The sedan and estate go from zero to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds, while the heavier estate performs the century sprint in 4.9 seconds. All C 43 variants are equipped with a 9G-Tronic nine-speed torque converter automatic transmission and a 4Matic all-wheel drive system as standard.
Outside, each variant typically features a diamond radiator grille with a single louvre and central three-pointed star, Intelligent Light System (ILS) headlamps and AMG Line body styling features — bumpers, skirts and quad exhaust tips.
Inside, the AMG Line treatment continues by adding a three-spoke flat-bottomed steering wheel, AMG Line-specific trim materials and Artico leather and Dinamica microfibre upholstery. Don’t forget, AMG Performance seats are optionally available items.
Additionally, Mercedes-Benz says that its 4Matic all-wheel drive system is also available for other C-Class variants in the UK. The kit adds 1,500 pounds sterling (RM8.3k) to any C-Class sold there. A new SE Executive Edition package has been added too, available only for the sedan and estate models. The package adds 17-inch alloy wheels, Active Parking Assist, Garmin navigation, heated front seats and for the state only, chrome roof rails.
