Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition – more kit, RM698k

Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP) has introduced the new Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition, which carries a sporty appearance, more kit and a base price from RM698,000 excluding OTR charges and insurance.

The Platinum Edition, available for a limited time, is based on the standard Cayenne powered by a 3.6 litre V6 pushing out 300 hp and 400 Nm. It rolls on 20-inch wheels in RS Spyder design, housed in wider wheel arches.

Stainless steel door sills with “Platinum Edition” lettering greet occupants. The interior is dominated by leather sport seats with eight-way electric adjustment, Alcantara centre panels and the Porsche crest on all head rests. The SUV also comes with the latest generation Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system that includes online navigation and the Connect Plus module. There’s a nice analogue clock on the dashboard.

Standard equipment include bi-xenon headlights with the Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), Power Steering Plus and ParkAssist in the front and back.

A non-metallic black and white finish is standard, with Deep Black, Purpurite, Mahogany, Carrera White or Rhodium Silver metallic paints available as options. The high-gloss exterior package is included.

“The introduction of this Platinum Edition is a celebration of the success of the Cayenne model line. Many premium quality features are now included as a standard for a superior sporty look. It is a fitting tribute to this sports car among the SUVs,” said Arnt Bayer, CEO of SDAP.

SDAP includes a four-year warranty and free maintenance package.

The base price is USD65k. With options its almost USD80k. The car that we are getting here is the fully loaded model. You can’t just compare the base price, you needto spec the car the same as what we get before you can make a price comparison.

With that said, the car of prices in Malaysia is still ridiculous!

no wonder why people buy recon for RM300k, half the price. SDAC is so greedy. Charge RM700k for a super cheap car
