There are still units of the Renault Captur available at the RM98,000 introductory price (on-the-road without insurance), but distributor TC Euro Cars says that there are limited units left, and is issuing a final call.
The special price was announced along with the rollout of the locally-assembled Captur in April – the CKD Captur’s regular price is RM109k, which means there are savings of RM11k to be had. The RM109k sticker price for the Segambut-assembled Energy Efficient Vehicle (EEV) is RM8,200 lower than the original CBU imported car.
“We believe that the Renault Captur is indeed a home-run. It’s stylish, versatile and offers a great safety package, now with at an even better value-for-money deal of RM98,000,” said Kuan Kim Luen, CEO of TC Euro Cars.
The Clio-based Captur, Europe’s best-selling B-segment SUV, is powered by a TCe 120 1.2 litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, producing 120 PS at 4,900 rpm and 190 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm. Drive is transmitted to the front wheels via a six-speed Efficient Dual Clutch (EDC) automatic transmission. Fuel consumption is 5.4 litres per 100 km in the European combined cycle.
Standard equipment includes auto headlamps and wipers; 17-inch two-tone rims (205/55 tyres); keyless entry and push start; MediaNav head unit with seven-inch touchscreen, AUX, USB, Bluetooth and navigation; and a reverse camera among other things. Four airbags, ESC, hill start assist and Isofix child seat mounts make up the safety kit. The kit list is identical to the CBU car.
Unique and practical features include removable seat covers (with zips, can be washed), a removable and reversible (carpet on one side, plastic on the other) multi-position boot floor, a 377 litres of boot space (expandable to 455 litres with sliding and 60:40 folding rear seats) and plenty of cabin stowage areas, including door bins that can take 1.5 litre drink bottles.
The Captur is known for funky two-tone colour schemes, and the CKD car has four options – the new Flame Red with Diamond Black roof, Arizona Orange with Diamond Black roof, Pacific Blue with Ivory roof, and Ivory with a Diamond Black roof.
Like all mainstream (non-RS) Renaults sold in Malaysia, the Captur comes with a five-year manufacturer’s warranty with unlimited mileage.

Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
Very good lah Tan Chong. Such an honest company. Gomen give EEV incentive and savings, they pass on to the consumer.
But gomen UMW get EEV incentive and savings on the Vios, the Vios car go up in price pulak. OMG OMG
Who to blame? Salah jepunis lords lah of cuz. Nothing can be done since they gip instructions.
UMW more profits, EPF more gooder.
Malaysian UMW got no bola to right for the rights of the rakyat?
For example, if Jepunis say no VSC, Malaysian UMW aka GLC should demand for it. But I think VSC issue UMW themselves took it out to save money and untung more.
As to price, Japs don’t dictate or determine. It is MITI and UMW. Both gomen.
ignore the caveman and his fake news
If mazda lords say gip esc,
and honda lord say gip esc,
and nissan lord say gip esc,
Then if toyota lord say dun gip esc, how can ini salah MITI, hmm?
i agree. Ignore the fake news spreader
Well at least he stand up
I stand up for the lives of us ASEAN pipu, and to tell them jepunis overlords and their minions that enuff is enuff. We not their dumping ground and our lives matters.
#ASEANLivesMatters
I rather buy myvi than miserable the next few years.
Ye le tu. RM8,200 lower? That is only 7.5%. Really? Tot that when got EEV the reduce price is much greater.
aka sales teruk trying clear stocks
Great offer. For those shopping for medium size SUV now…just grab it.
(Like) Renault Captur.
(Dislike) Toyota CH-R
This one or hrv is better?
More safety and more rear headroom and cheaper and have conti smell.
This is aimed at new families with toddlers & small children. Seat covers can be removed & washed easily should there be any stains. the front passenger seat has ISOFIX mounting (only one in it’s class). and on paper it’s got the most efficient engine.
Europeans have no taste. This thing is ugly AF.
French flair not means whole EU taste is same same.
RM 98K + insurance is about the same price with honda HRV.
HRV after 2 years becomne RM 80K and renault become RM 50K.
You decide ah.
If renault want to clear stock, they should sell it RM 70K. otherwise, put them into the stock yard for display.
Aik. Ur another one that bash when they trying to sell it CHEAPER? Lets see what the resident mental patient here has to say.
ignore the fake news spreader
And we shud oso ignore 1 liner nonsense.

Now Honda ppl also talk abt RV while bashing Toy doing same thing. LOL
Very nice car! Good value for money too!
so nice…my favourite car and colour…
buy new now can save 11k…..later when the vehicle breaks down….the damage will probably cost more than 11k to fix…..
No, but thanks.
Dual Clutch, oh ok, TQTQ…
if we take the praises here as an indicator, there shouldn’t be any problem selling this car. But the reality is different. Cakap tak serupa bikin?
A lousy car, by right, shudnt sell. Yet plenty of my Biza on roads, so how diff is this reality?
hmm…you are right, condemn but buy, praise but don’t buy…so many hypocrites
the rear is not suitable for family. quite bumpy. considerable body roll during test drive. pickup is good though.
