August 2017 week two fuel prices – petrol, diesel up

Happy Wednesday! Time for another fuel price announcement, and it’s bad news again as the upward trend in fuel prices continues following an increase that was announced last week.

From tomorrow, August 10, RON 95 petrol will be priced at RM2.12 per litre (up five sen from RM2.07 per litre last week), while RON 97 petrol is priced at RM2.39 per litre (up seven sen from RM2.32 per last week).

As for Euro 2M diesel, it retails at the pump for RM2.06 per litre (up one sen from RM2.05 per litre last week) this week, while Euro 5 diesel will go for RM2.16 per litre (up one sen from RM2.15 per litre last week). These prices take effect from midnight until August 16, when the next price adjustment will be announced.

This is the 20th weekly fuel pricing update since the system’s implementation on March 30. Compared to March 2017 prices, which was before weekly pricing took effect, RON 95 is down by 18 sen (from RM2.30 per litre), RON 97 by 21 sen (RM2.60 per litre) and Euro 2M diesel is down by 14 sen (RM2.20).

OMG OMG OMG. Every week now it is going higher and higher and higher.

And the best part is, we are an oil producing country. All oil producing countries sell their oil very cheap to the rakyat. Look at Saudi, they sell their Ron at RM1.10 per liter.

Nearly all oil producing countries sell their oil super cheap to their rakyat, except Malaysia.

Aii.. not only oil but durian pun sudah naik harga until locals cannot afford to eat already… ask them they will said because they earn more with export price higher so local price also increase. So basically all our national treasures one by one being sold to other countries because they can pay more (thanks to our weak ringgit). Sakit hatinya. One by one… next pisang…

Even Singapore Ron 95 is cheaper here. Although calculate to RM6 per litre, but their gaji is 10x more than Malaysians.

If your gaji is 10x, you also don’t mind paying RM6 per litre.

Nowadays chatime where got queue berjam jam?
Yes starbucks penuh, what about the others who can’t even afford to drink kopi at kopitiam?
KFC MCD also penuh correct, but what about the others who can’t even afford chicken in their daily meal?
Mercedes Honda pecah sales rekod, what about those who can’t afford a car, have to sit 3-4 people in 1 kapcai, and can’t even afford to buy helmet?

You can’t see them because they are out there working hard day and night. Probably not staying anywhere near you because all you see is kfc starbucks. Please be considerate, and use some brains before making a statement

If i run the country, education will be free. there will be no toll roads. Cars will be cheaper by 30%. Internet will be cheaper by 50%. Income tax down by 5%. Healthcare is free. zero corruption

Things that will go up will be summons for traffic offense, longer jail sentence for rempits and corruption. Higher export volume. Higher number of medical tourism patients.

Have u noticed when there is petrol price increase,it is 3-8sen/litre?
The usual price drop is a paltry 2sen/litre.
Maybe, the higher increase is to reward the crybaby PDAM members for being patient n not close shop so easily.
Where r the PDAM members? Eh..I thought busy packing up to close shop? Perhaps, they r busy looking for more locations to open new stations now.Just shambolic, the behaviour of these dealers.

As expected, 3 weeks in a row up, then 2 weeks in row down, then 3 weeks in row up again. Will keep repeating one.
E.g; down 3 sen, then up 5 sen. Coming week again down 4 sen then up 6 sen. Bravo bravo.

  • World Brent oil price changed up and down between US$52.01-US$52.41, relatively small for the last five days.

And the increment of 5 sen and 7 sen for RON95 and RON97 respectively today are totally unjustifiable. What is really the basis for this increment? Simple way to rob us?

    Dear john,

    STFU. What a clown.

Government need to be transparent with their calculations.
Its absurd. We are the ones paying them to serve us, yet we seemed to be locked out from various information that are supposed to be public.
