Koenigsegg Agera beats Bugatti’s 0-400-0 km/h time?

The mighty Bugatti Chiron made waves recently after setting a 0-400-0 km/h time of 42 seconds. It packs an 8.0 litre quad-turbocharged W16 engine pushing 1,500 PS and 1,600 Nm of torque, enabling a 0 to 100 km/h time of 2.5 seconds. Arch rival Koenigsegg may just have it beat after posting a photo of the Agera RS captioned “0-400-OMG” on its official Facebook page.

Now, the Agera RS is powered by a 5.0 litre twin-turbo V8 – that’s a full eight cylinders and two turbochargers less than the Bugatti – making 1,160 hp and 1,280 Nm of torque, of which is paired to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. At the time of launch, its century sprint time is said to match the Chiron’s. However, the Agera RS comes with a One:1 upgrade package, boosting its output to 1,360 hp and 1,369 Nm.

Considering that the Swedish company previously set the 0-300-0 km/h record in 17.95 seconds, it leaves little room for doubt that the Agera RS can in fact step up to the challenge. Koenigsegg has yet to elaborate on the record-breaking feat, but rest assured, vital details are coming soon.

I don’t understand why the writers of Paultan.org like to compare 2 different units. HP with HP, PS with PS la bro!. If you look at Top Gear, they will convert to HP (bcoz that is more common in UK). You can use PS for Malaysian or may be you can give both.

We know it’s a little inconvenient for comparison’s sake, but we usually use the exact figure and unit as claimed by the manufacturers for absolute accuracy. There can be confusions from conversions, be it from bhp, metric hp, imperial hp, PS and so on.

next time if u want to compare two car, both shd use either HP or PS, don’t mix it, potential buyers here could got confused LOL…paultan can do like this: “….. making **approximately 1,176 hp** and 1,280 Nm of torque (manufacturer claim in HP 1160)…..” and by the way, u don’t need “absolute accuracy” for a car blog, even the manufacturer dare not claim theirs is absolutely correct.
