November 2017 week four fuel prices – all go down

It’s another Wednesday, which means another weekly fuel price update. After weeks of price hikes, the good news is that fuel prices have finally gone down, and across the board at that.

From tomorrow, November 23, RON 95 petrol will cost RM2.30 per litre (down eight sen from RM2.38 last week), while RON 97 goes for RM2.58 per litre (down eight sen from RM2.66).

November 2017 week four fuel prices – all go down

As for Euro 2M diesel, it is priced at RM2.23 per litre this week (down two sen from RM2.25), and Euro 5 diesel – always higher by 10 sen over Euro 2M – is at RM2.33 per litre. These prices take effect from 12.01 am until November 29, when the next round of fuel prices will be announced.

This is the 35th weekly fuel pricing update since the system’s implementation on March 30. Compared to March 2017 prices, which was the last month before weekly pricing took effect, RON 95 is identically priced (RM2.30 per litre), RON 97 cheaper by two sen (from RM2.60 per litre) and Euro 2M diesel higher by three sen per litre (from RM2.20 per litre).

        Crude prices (22 Nov 2017) – $58.00

An increase of 25%. So shud our petrol priced at RM1.97 (13 July price) + 25% = Rm2.46 instead?

Malaysia should have started the float system day 1 with RM1.30 per liter for Ron 95.

That was the true value of Ron 95 then

Saya tengok ramai yang share harga minyak mingguan dalam Whatsapp group seperti di bawah:

        Petrol Malaysia :
        13/07/2017 – 19/10/2017

        Naik : 4sen (13.7.2017)
        Naik : 6sen (27.7.2017)
        Naik : 4sen (3.8.2017)

        Naik : 3sen (24.8.2017)
        Naik : 1sen (31.8.2017)
        Naik : 4sen (07.9.2017)
        Naik : 1sen (14.9.2017)
        Turun : 2sen (21.9.2017)
        Turun : 3sen (28.9.2017)
        Naik : 3sen (5.10.2017)
        Turun : 3sen (12.10.2017)
        Naik : 1sen (19.10.2017)
        Naik : 3sen (26.10.2017)
        Naik : 4sen (2.11.2017)

        3x turun = 8sen
        13x naik = 42sen

        Naik: US$1.09 (13.7.2017)
        Naik: US$1.80 (27.7.2017)
        Naik: US$2.86 (3.8.2017)
        Naik: US$0.35 (10.8.2017)
        Naik: US$0.06 (17.8.2017)
        Naik: US$2.12 (24.8.2017)
        Naik: US$2.13 (31.8.2017)
        Naik: US$0.03 (7.9.2017)
        Naik: US$0.04 (14.9.2017)
        Turun: US$0.06 (21.9.2017)
        Turun: US$0.60 (28.9.2017)
        Turun: US$1.39 (5.10.2017)
        Naik: US$0.03 (12.10.2017)
        Naik: US$0.02 (19.10.2017)
        Naik: US$0.02 (26.10.2017)
        Naik: US$2.51 (2.11.2017)

Why doesnt our menteri cap the max petrol price at rm2.30/litre,instead of thinking of doing something when it overshot rm2.50/litre consecutively for 3 months? By then, lots of items will have been pricier.
The argument that we shouldnt subsidise the middle class n rich doesnt make sense.Dont they pay a fair amount of taxes?
If they buy a Royce or merc, arent they punished with few hundred thousand rm in car taxes, besides business and employment taxes?
Therefore, make petrol affordable for all.It is a good election marketing tool too.

Malaysia is the ONLY oil producing country that sells its Petrol expensive to the rakyat. All other oil producing countries sell their petrol cheaply to the rakyat.

In Norway, the Sovereign Wealth Fund, belongs to all the rakyat. This is solely from oil money from the country. Last month, the fund reached USD$1 trillion (RM4.2 Trillion)

All the money from oil from Norway goes to this fund and this fund completely belongs to the people of Norway. Thus, every citizen is a millionaire in USD

Maybe it is time for Malaysia to do the same.

Lucky petrol has gone down. Cannot tahan lah, so many months going up up up up.

Anyway, we are thankful to gomen for reducing 8 sen today. Nevertheless, even at RM2.30, we are still overpaying gomen by 80sen per litre.

According to world prices, Ron 95 should be nothing more than RM1.50. Look at Saudi Arabia, their Ron is 25 cents (RM1.10).

So, Malaysians are overpaying by 80 sen per litre. Calculate that with 10 million motorists, Gomen makes BILLIONS per month on our overpriced petrol.

we are net importer cause our gomen choose to sell our high sweet grade oil to the Arabs and buy their super low quality and cheap sulphur grade toxic oil from the Arabs.

Why can’t we use our own high quality oil for Malaysia? After all it comes from Tanah Air Ku. If we do so, enough for Malaysians. No need to import

Also we lose out. We buy low quality sulphur rich oil which eventually leads to bigger burden to our hospitals due to respiratory illnesses
