Volvo S60 and V60 Polestar World Champion Edition

Volvo S60 and V60 Polestar World Champion Edition

Volvo has won the race on Sunday, and is now trying to boost sales of the S60 and V60 on Monday. The Sweden-based carmaker won the 2017 FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) with the S60 TC1 race car and is commemorating that with this, the Volvo S60 and V60 Polestar Performance World Champion Edition package.

Available on all D4, D5, T5, and T6 variants, the Polestar Performance World Champion Edition package includes spiffy 19-inch Polestar alloys with UHP tyres, a sculpted diffuser and a new rear spoiler. Nothing much inside other than a Polestar gear lever.

There are some performance parts, too. Special edition S60s and V60s get a free-flow stainless-steel exhaust system, a sports air filter plus uprated dampers and springs for the suspension. Polestar‘s engine optimisation frees up an extra 10 hp and 50 Nm of torque, matched with quicker gearshifts and sharper throttle response.

“The engineers from Polestar and Cyan Racing have worked collaboratively on engineering developments for existing Polestar road cars for many years. It’s therefore fitting that we celebrate the remarkable achievement of securing our maiden World Championship by adding more performance to the cars that have been instrumental this season. We’ve created an accessible piece of history for many Volvo car owners,” said Christian Samson, the product and development man at Polestar.

Nice, but not as nice as this, though.
