Volkswagen has a lot planned for 2018, and is giving us a rundown of what to expect from the German carmaker. Aside from new products, there’s also a new design study for its I.D. electric vehicle line-up, and even a Pikes Peak race car.

First up is the up! GTI, a high-performance version of the pint-sized city car, which is set to be launched in selected markets. In the spring during the Beijing Auto Show, the third-generation Touareg celebrates its global premiere after being previewed by the T-Prime Concept GTE in 2016.

Earlier spyshots reveal an SUV that looks a lot like an upsized Tiguan, and Volkswagen says the cockpit will be a “special highlight.” That should enhance the premium feel of the Touareg, as the concept features a dual-screen Curved Interaction Area, with a bevy of touchscreens to access many of the car’s systems.

Later on, we’ll witness the rollout new Jetta and T-Cross – the latter being a small SUV that was previewed by a similarly-named concept from 2016. Volkswagen will also introduce a new I.D. study to join the three existing ones – I.D. Crozz, I.D. Buzz and the original I.D. concept. Last but not least, an all-electric race car will look to set a new record at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in Colorado.
