Ladies and gents, the time has finally come for Rolls-Royce to unveil its first ever SUV, the Cullinan. Dubbed as the most anticipated Rolls-Royce of all time (for obvious reasons), the luxury SUV will make its global debut on May 10 (Thursday).
Before that, the company has decided to drop a single teaser picture of the Cullinan’s tail light, featuring a familiar design that’s accented by a strip LED surround. It’s the first time we’re getting a full glimpse of the actual design – prior to this, the units seen on spy photos have been partially masked, especially to conceal the sleek middle section.
As for the SUV itself, the name Cullinan means to have the “best seat in the house,” which warrants the creation of the Viewing Suite. In essence, it features two rear-facing leather chairs with an accompanying cocktail table in the SUV’s rear compartment. It can be used to watch a sports event or even your children’s football games! With just a touch of button, the seats can automatically be deployed.
For propulsion, expect an updated version of the naturally-aspirated 6.75 litre V12 or a 6.6 litre twin-turbo V12 to be offered. The Cullinan could also share several components as the BMW X7, and it will go directly against the Bentley Bentayga. Rolls-Royce claims that the Cullinan is “highly capable on all types of terrain,” so an all-wheel drive system may just be standard.
Two more days, so stay tuned.

BMW X5 Super Luxury Edition
I was hoping they would choose a name related to phantom/ghost/spirit.
BMW is ruining traditions.
Perhaps in future we may see Phantom is just another re-skinned 9-series.
Shares components with X7 ??? Come on …
I can afford an X7.
But I am not in the right status to own a Rolls Royce.
That’s the difference.
Hideous
Clearly Benteyga much unique with design characters compare to this, it just too commercial! Ugly Cullinan
and bentayga is not commercial ? bentayga also shares lots of parts with cayenne and toureg.
