TC Euro Cars (TCEC) has introduced the Renault Captur facelift in Malaysia. The B-segment crossover gets updated with minor exterior revisions – in front, there’s a new grille, a revised headlight design and new C-shaped LED daytime running lights at the corners of the bumper, while the rear features new tail lights with LED light guides. The Captur also gets new front and rear bumper skid plates.
The upgraded Captur also sports a new 17-inch alloy wheel design as well as LED wing mirror indicators, and three new two-tone exterior colour choices – Atacama Orange, Ocean Blue and Pearl White, all paired with a Diamond Black roof – join Flame Red as options available for the car.
Inside, the interior features revised plastics and trim materials, with black combi-leather seats, combi-leather door finishers and a redesigned gear lever making for a more modern and sophisticated cabin.
Standard kit includes a MediaNav multimedia system with a seven-inch touchscreen with navigation and AUX, USB and Bluetooth connectivity, a reverse camera, keyless entry/start, auto door lock, auto headlights and wipers. As for safety equipment, items on the list include four airbags (front/side), ESC and hill-start assist.
The Captur facelift continues to be powered by a 1.2 litre TCe 120 turbocharged inline-four petrol engine, producing 118 hp at 4,900 rpm and 190 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm. It’s paired with a six-speed Efficient Dual Clutch (EDC) transmission, which drives the front wheels.
No change in pricing, and so the locally-assembled Captur remains priced at RM109,000 (on-the-road, without insurance). There’s an additional RM900 for the Flame Red and Pearl White colour options, which also includes kick plates and a trunk tray.
The 5-in-Captur aftersales service announced last year continues on unchanged. The package includes a five-year/100,000 km free service and maintenance (parts and labour) schedule on top of the existing five-year/unlimited mileage warranty.
Also included is a complimentary 24-hour roadside assistance and pick-up/delivery service for scheduled maintenance to and from Renault service centres, and in the event any part is not available for over 48 hours, a replacement car is provided as part of a mobility service, subject to availability.

Renault has risen from ashes. Now we must eat humble pie and swallow our pride and accept that we have lost. What we can do now is figure out a new approach.
No LED headlights. Always something is omitted when come to Malaysia. Kinda annoying.
It’s definitely a great car with power!
Cheap as HRV but more unique.

I am a big fan of Captur’s style and performance. Any idea about its launch in India?
Body design Lack of 3D/(Crystal) Cut….especially at back, too much round shape .
MAZDA, Honda & even New MyVi back body design is better in 3D cut now.
Captur Gear Knob & hand Break looks not solid & need to improve.
