Hennessey Performance (HPE), the purveyor of vehicles with more than two axles, has unveiled its latest creation – the Goliath 6×6. Based on the latest iteration of the Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck in Trail Boss Z71 guise, the Goliath joins the Ford Raptor-based VelociRaptor 6×6 in the company’s six-wheeler line-up.
As with most models from HPE, the 6.2 litre V8 that makes 420 hp and 624 Nm of torque when stock has been given a number of upgrades. These include the company’s HPE700 Supercharged package comprising a 2.9 litre supercharger system producing seven psi of boost, along with a stainless steel exhaust system.
The end result is 705 hp and 915 Nm, with the company claiming the Goliath will complete the 0-97 km/h (0-60 mph) sprint in the mid four second range, despite the 6×6 conversion. There’s also an optional 808 hp stroker motor upgrade if you need more shove, bringing the all-important figure to 808 hp.
Aside from the engine and 6×6 conversion, there’s also a new rear suspension system, an eight-inch lift kit, custom flatbed, 20-inch wheels wrapped with 37-inch off-road tyres, unique decals and graphics, a new roll bar, LED lights and new Hennessey bumpers.
The base price for this wheeled colossus is US$375,000 (RM1,553,175), and that includes the truck that will be transformed as well as a three-year/57,936 km (36,000 mile) warranty. The company says it will make just 24 examples of the Goliath and it will be available for export to international markets.
