Alpina has introduced a new limited-edition model based on the BMW 4 Series, which it is calling the B4 S Bi-Turbo Edition 99. As the name suggests, only 99 units of the model will be offered, available in both coupe and convertible body styles.

Under the bonnet, there’s a 3.0 litre twin-turbo straight-six engine that comes fitted with an Akrapovic titanium exhaust system for a 7-kg weight saving. The mill serves up 445 hp (452 PS) and 680 Nm of torque, with the latter being available from 3,000 to 4,500 rpm.

An eight-speed automatic transmission and limited-slip differential come as standard, along with Alpina’s aluminium shift paddles that are larger and finished in matte black. In terms of performance, the coupe will hit 306 km/h and complete the 0-100 km/h sprint in 4.2 seconds, while the all-wheel drive version is quicker in the century sprint (3.9 seconds) but is limited to 303 km/h.

The convertible, which is available as a rear-wheel drive vehicle only, takes 4.3 seconds to hit 100 km/h from a rest, and the top speed is 304 km/h. The coupe not only benefits from a dual driveline choice but also comes with the Alpina Sport Plus Suspension for better agility and driving dynamics.

As for visual features, the Edition 99 can be ordered in five exterior colours, including the classic Alpina Blue, Grigio Medio, Fire Orange, Sapphire Black, and Mineral White. The car rides on 20-inch Alpina Classic wheels finished in Ferric Grey, but you can also get two exclusive Deco-Set options in matte black or matte blue.

On the inside, customers can replace the standard Alpina piano black trim with either Alcantara Anthracite or Carbon Leather, all of them featuring the ‘Edition 99’ on the dash. The company’s craftsmanship is also on display with the hand-finished Lavalina sport leather steering wheel, floor mats, and multicontour clubsport seats upholstered with Merino Black leather and Alcantara Anthracite.

The Alpina B4 S Bi-Turbo Edition 99 is available for purchase now in Germany, with prices starting from 74,705 euros (RM355,474) for the coupe and 80,756 euros (RM384,267) for the convertible.
