Alongside the G20 BMW 3 Series at the 2019 Singapore Motor Show is the new G05 BMW X5, which is being displayed in X5 xDrive40i guise. BMW’s well-known sports activity vehicle received a complete redesign back in June last year, and will be offered in Singapore in four variants.

Compared to the previous F15 generation model, the new X5’s length has grown by 36 mm to 4,922 mm, width by 66 mm to 2,004 mm and height by 19 mm to 1,745 mm – the wheelbase has been extended by 42 mm to 2,975 mm.

Design revisions include a much larger pair of kidney grilles that are linked in the middle, with BMW Laserlights headlamps being specified on this particular unit. Also included here is the M Aerodynamics package, BMW Individual high-gloss Shadow Line trimmings and 22-inch M light alloy wheels.

Elsewhere, the character line along the side now rises at the rear doors, while the rear gets taillights that are inspired by recent BMW models. At the rear is also where you’ll find the powered two-piece split tailgate and dual exhausts. In the future, a seven-seat version of the X5 will go on sale in Singapore.

Moving inside, you’ll find a revamped dashboard that features the BMW Live Cockpit, which includes a 12.3-inch Control Display and fully digital instrument cluster, both powered by BMW Operating System 7.0.

Other luxuries present here include a heads-up display, BMW Individual extended leather trim ‘Merino’, anthracite headliner, Comfort access system, Comfort seats, Sky Lounge panoramic sunroof and BMW Display Key.

Under the bonnet, there’s 3.0 litre in-line six cylinder that delivers 340 PS and 450 Nm of torque. The mill is mated to an eight-speed Steptronic automatic and xDrive all-wheel drive is standard.
