Volvo Malaysia has officiated the latest addition to its network, with the addition of the Setia Alam dealership operated by appointed dealer Motion Beyond. Set up to be a 3S (sales, service and spares) centre, the Setia Alam facility aims to serve customers in the Shah Alam and Klang areas and joins a Volvo dealership network which now totals 11 locations nationwide, of which five are in the Greater Kuala Lumpur region.
“Both Klang and Shah Alam are matured townships with great market potential for luxury car brands. We are happy to be a part of Volvo Cars and we are confident that Volvo’s new model line-up will appeal to this demographic,” said managing director of Motion Beyond, Joshua Lee.
Volvo Setia Alam has been made to adhere to Volvo Retail Experience (VRE) parameters for showroom and service standards. Here, the location is outfitted with a customer lounge as well as a studio where new vehicle buyers can select the colours, options and accessories for the upcoming purchase.
Meanwhile, after-sales is handled by includes a three-bay service area which can handle all manner of service and repairs for Volvos except body and paint work. This will have the capacity to service four to five vehicles a day by the end of the year, according to a Volvo representative.
“The most important thing for us at Volvo Car Malaysia is to secure competent dealer-partners that are passionate about the brand and ensure that they are consistently representing the brand in the right way – this is our promise to our customers,” said managing director of Volvo Car Malaysia, Lennart Stegland.
Located in Setia Avenue, the Volvo Setia Alam showroom is open Mondays to Saturdays from 9am to 7pm and on Sundays and public holidays from 10am to 5:30pm. Meanwhile, the service centre operates Mondays to Saturdays from 9am to 5pm, and is closed on Sundays and public holidays.
Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
Wait a minute they have a 3 bay service area which can only service 4-5 cars a day? They means it takes them almost a day to service one vehicle! I thought one bay = at least 3 vehicles per day for a typical normal service. Also I think Volvo needs to be represented towards south of Selangor around Puchong, Bandar Bukit Jalil and Kinrara area.
