G29 BMW Z4 sDrive30i on show in Malaysia – RM457k

It looks like the G29 BMW Z4 is inching closer to its full debut here, but not quite yet – the drop-top has popped up again, but still very much as a preview. However, unlike the first showing that took place during the launch of the G20 3 Series in March, this one has the third-gen in the exact model form we’ll be getting.

This is the sDrive30i, which is on display at the ongoing BMW M Track Day event in Sepang. The recommended pricing for the car has also been revealed, and it’s RM456,800 on-the-road without insurance, which follows the estimated pricing for the car mentioned earlier, when the range-topping M40i variant in LHD form was showcased.

The sDrive30i is equipped with a 2.0 litre turbocharged four-cylinder delivering 255 hp (258 PS) and 400 Nm from 1,550 to 4,400 rpm. Paired with an eight-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission, which is standard issue across the Z4 range, the variant does the 0-100 km/h run in 5.4 seconds and gets to a maximum speed of 250 km/h.

The car comes equipped with a M Sport Suspension and Variable Sport Steering as standard, and other regulation items include wireless phone charging, digital key and Intelligent Parking Assistant with a Reversing Assistant feature.

The Z4 will be available in five exterior colours, namely San Francisco Red, Misano Blue, Black Sapphire, Glacier Silver and Alpine White, and these can be matched with a choice from three interior options – black décor with black stitching, Magma Red with black stitching or Cognac with black stitching, the latter seen in the photo set. The show car wasn’t the only sDrive30i at the event – an Alpine White example with a black interior was spotted in the car park.

Although the car still hasn’t been officially launched, the order books have been open for the car since April, with interested parties needing to fork out RM5,000 to place a booking.

Better go for Z4. Why? Supra only design for exteriors but when comes to interior for Supra, they actually copied from BMW Z4 including Toyota also get BMW engine and fit into Supra. That’s why BMW is more successful and always working hard. Unlike Toyota, they always never work hard.

So what if it’s copied? BMW has nicer interiors than Toyota so Toyota is smart for taking their interior.

    • You should watch the review of US’s Consumer Report that says the Supra is a liveable day-to-day car as compared to this Z4.

Look at how beautiful this car is. So much engineering in it. So much work put in it. Such utter quality and perfection. So much of dedication and man hours put in to design and engineer this eye candy

I cannot believe some car companies claim to be the BMW of Asia. And say their cars are BETTER than BMW.

No wonder Toyota chose to rebadge the Z4. Toyota and Perodua are apples from the same tree: Depending on hard work and creativity of others.

Well Everytime, we already know that you are always very fear that Toyota Sales including Hyundai, Perodua and Nissan Sales will drop. Moreover, we already know that you put downvotes for good feedback for Proton and including other carmakers like BMW, Mercedes, Ford and others. While you put positive likes for your own dupes and your own self comments. Lastly, as I said many times before you reply to us, don’t ever come back here and every articles and talk all the fake facts that you had post if you didn’t read any car articles and car facts
