Volkswagen Sound & Style for existing Golf, Passat, Tiguan owners – Helix soundbar for RM2,604

Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) currently offers Sound & Style variants of the Golf, Passat and Tiguan, which adds a number of accessories as standard equipment. But existing owners can join in the fun as well, as these accessories are now available for purchase separately.

The centrepiece is the Helix 300W Soundbar, which is mounted in the boot and equipped with its own five-channel amplifier and digital sound processor; it retails at RM2,604 on all models. You can also purchase VW Tint for your windows, at RM2,200 for the Golf and Passat and RM2,450 for the Tiguan.

As for the Passat, the aluminium sports pedals and side sill scuff plates are priced at RM486 and RM504 respectively, while the Tiguan is available with a black rear spoiler at RM1,387, a chrome tailgate garnish at RM195.40 and twin chrome exhaust finishers at RM250.

The prices listed are inclusive of labour charges for installation, and they are all covered by a two-year warranty from the date of installation.

So 3rd party. Why VPCM? Why did the soundbar has to intrude into the limited bootspace? Totally unnecessary if they can’t find a way to built into car recesses. Worse is now the spare wheel can’t be accessed without removing the intruding box and soundbar. Why VPCM?

It’s an add-on, geez. If you want your bootspace then don’t buy.
