It’s Wednesday once more, therefore the time has come once again for the weekly fuel price update in Malaysia, with the ministry of finance announcing the retail prices of fuels for the coming week of May 18 to 24, 2023.
The status quo remains for the price of RON 97 petrol, which continues to be priced at RM3.35 per litre for the coming week and therefore unchanged from last week, which in fact has been unchanged since the end of 2022.
Pricing of RON 95 petrol remains unchanged from its ceiling price of RM2.05 per litre, as set by the Malaysian government in February 2021. No change, too, with prices of diesel fuels, with Euro 5 B10 and B20 blends remaining at RM2.15 per litre while the Euro 5 B7 blend stays at a 20 sen margin above at RM2.35 per litre.
These prices will take effect from midnight tonight until Wednesday, May 24, 2023, when the next set of fuel price updates will be announced. This is the 20th edition of the weekly fuel pricing format for this year, and the 227th in total since the format’s introduction at the beginning of 2019.

marehsia only sells premium unleaded petrol ranges from euro4m RON95 to RON100. Never sells regular unleaded petrol RON92 or below
If there are large numbers of vehicles in the country which can run well enough on RON92 petrol, there would be a big enough market to justify selling this fuel.
