With diesel in Malaysia now pricier as a result of subsidy rationalisation (currently just shy of RM3 a litre), a pick-up truck’s fuel consumption becomes all the more important.
Join Hafriz Shah in this video as he attempts to drive the Ford Ranger Wildtrak all the way from Tanjung Piai, Johor – the southernmost tip of mainland Asia – to Bukit Kayu Hitam and then back to Kuala Lumpur, on one full 80-litre tank of diesel. Hit Play to find out if he makes it!
Launched in Malaysia in 2022, the current-gen Ford Ranger Wildtrak carries a 210 PS/500 Nm 2.0 litre EcoBlue turbodiesel and a 10-speed auto. How far can a Ford goes on a full tank? Just increased the size of the fuel tank and it can go further. Lol. What a joke. A full tank means nothing when it’s capacity is not mentioned
Mate, it’s stated in both the video and the post.
80 liter diesel, 1000km. consumption is 12.5 km per liter. it’s really very mediocre. china SUV hybrids are double the efficiency.
We can safely bet full tank could travels more if the driver weighs only 50kg or below LOL
Great to see content on other aspects of automotive field… however I feel like the information presented could have been condensed down to less than 10 minutes.
