Sime Motors is wasting no time setting up its business selling Denza vehicles. What appears to be a new subsidiary, Sime Denza, has put up a hiring ad for its Kuala Lumpur and Penang locations.
The company is looking for sales advisers, service advisers and technicians in both cities as well as a sales administrator, a front desk officer, a parts officer and a warranty officer in Penang. As can be seen by the job postings, these personnel will handle only the Denza brand, separate from BYD – despite the listing coming from Sime Motors’ BYD dealer Beyond Auto.
Sime Denza will need to fill those positions quick, as the Denza brand is slated for launch in the first quarter of the year, with the Denza D9 being the first product. This is a Toyota Alphard/Vellfire and Zeekr 009-rivalling electric luxury MPV with available all-wheel drive, up to 374 PS (275 kW) and 470 Nm of torque from dual motors and a range of up to 520 km on the WLTP cycle.
