Toyota has teased a new electric SUV for European customers that will make its official debut next month on March 12. It hasn’t announced if other markets will get this electric vehicle (EV) will make its way to other markets.

The Japanese automaker also isn’t providing much in the way of details for now, with the release accompanying the announcement merely stating “the new car presents a sleek and stylish coupe design with a spacious comfortable and versatile interior and elevated driving dynamics.”

We do, however, get a shadowy photo and video of the upcoming model, which bears a close resemblance to the bZ Compact SUV Concept shown back in 2022. The sloping rear window forming a fastback silhouette, “hammerhead” front end, sleek roofline and kinked window line (near the C-pillar) are all cues represented by the concept.

With its smaller footprint, the production version of the concept has been rumoured to be called the bZ3X. However, recent reports indicate Toyota will abandon the ‘bZ’ acronym to identify its future EVs, so we’ll see what they come up with.
