After the Hyundai Palisade got a complete redesign last December, it’ll soon be time for its sister model, the Kia Telluride, to enter its second generation. In a fresh release, the South Korean carmaker announced that the all-new Telluride will make its full debut on November 20, 2025, just before the Los Angeles Auto Show opens its doors to public the day after.
To get the hype train rolling, we get teaser images of the upcoming three-row SUV that will go on sale for the 2027 model year. Sticking to the company’s ‘Opposites United’ design language that is also applied to cars like the Sportage and EV4, the shadowy Telluride shown to us appears to have a more upright front end than before.
The more imposing face should feature a prominent grille, with a clearer design cue being the reinterpreted vertical daytime running light signature that looks less comical than the one on the facelifted original. Star Map LED lighting will be present, as they are on the brand’s other recent offerings.
We can also make out the EV9-esque bonnet, with Kia chiming in by stating the Telluride will sport square shoulders and triangular creases in the fenders said to “resemble the chiselled facets of a diamond and capture the essence of the towering Rocky Mountains.” The Telluride is named after a town located in Colorado, home to the Rockies.
The company adds that the beltline at the rear subtly rises to meet with the D-pillar that rakes forward, while black inserts at the top of the pillar give the illusion of a floating roof. “Broad fender surfaces give the vehicle a planted, authoritative presence while fluid body contours lend an elegant shape to the side profile,” it adds.
