Looking for a new SUV? Chery Malaysia is hoping to catch your attention with its year-end promotion, which is offering up to RM15,000 cash rebate and complimentary extended battery warranty for its fresh plug-in hybrid models.
Naturally, the biggest discount is for the biggest car – the RM159,800 three-row Tiggo 8 Pro is the one with the RM15k rebate. It’s followed by RM10,000 off the RM123,800 Tiggo 7 Pro, which is C-segment in size.
The T7P is powered by a 1.6-litre turbo-four with 197 hp/290 Nm, paired to seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The T8P is the most powerful Chery-badged car in Malaysia – its 2.0T engine puts out 256 hp/390 Nm and is paired to a seven-speed DCT as well.
Introduced earlier this year, the Tiggo Cross is Chery’s entry model in Malaysia. It’s available in both pure petrol form (1.5L turbo-four with 147 PS/210 Nm, 6DCT) and a hybrid with a combined 204 PS/310 Nm. At RM99,800, the latter is the most affordable hybrid in Malaysia, while the Turbo is RM10k cheaper at RM88,800. Both come with a RM5,000 rebate this month.
In October, Chery launched the RM159,800 Tiggo 8 PHEV and the RM129,800 Tiggo 7 PHEV. The shared CSH powertrain combines a 143 PS/215 Nm 1.5-litre Miller-cycle turbo-four with a 204 PS/310 Nm electric motor that’s integrated within a stepless dedicated hybrid transmission. Combined output is 275 PS/365 Nm. The T8P PHEV is based on the facelift model with an all-new EV-style cockpit.
Both PHEVs come with a RM5,000 rebate and a complimentary extended battery warranty of 10 years or 200,000 km, which Chery is also extending to all customers who purchased the PHEVs since launch (the standard battery warranty is eight years or 160,000 km). This extended warranty is valued at RM3,000. Click on the links to recap the models.

Price war !!!
i still wonder how this CKD models can price so cheap to match P1’s offerings. something P1 teams need to look closely. why so expensive to have local supply chain to manufacture parts ?
if CKD continue to be more cost effective why the hell P1 or P2 wants to use local supply chain ?… so these part makers must made to think for their own survival.
Pity the PRC supporters that bought these cars new when they first launched.
pity those who bought HRV when they could have bouught tiggo8 for same price
