2007 Kia cee’d Wagon

ceedsw1.jpg

The second production variant of Kia’s new cee’d range for the European market will be launched at Geneva 2007 on the 6th March 2007. The 4.5 meter long wagon has a long wheelbase, helping with a large and comfy passenger cell.

The wagon is 235mm longer than the 5-door Kia cee’d hatch, and luggage capacity is 534 litres, which enlarges to an even larger amount when the split rear bench is folder down. The top hinges have been moved forwards by 225 mm (compared to the ceed hatchback), so the tailgate has reduced outswing and upswing. This allows users to stand closer to the car and allows for the tailgate to be fully opened in restricted parking spaces.

I'm telling ya… If its rear were prettier it'd attract Toyota Caldina lovers as well.

Ooh, the wagons are just getting sexier nowadays, wouldn't mind driving one anymore! 4WD would be a plus on this baby here.

The Koreans have really done it, now there's only Malaysia, India, China and those i-don't-wanna-know-cars from Russia. These are the only manufacturers left doing rubbish once in a while.

Oh, back during the early 1980s when Malaysia started with the plan of having national automobile manufacturing; Malaysia had a slightly higher GDP per capita than South Korea. NOW?! Look what UMNO had done….. haigh…

Wow.. this really looks good. Another step up for the Koreans. Their cars are becoming more desirable with each new model. And Malaysia, my beloved country? SIGH.. Proton's best selling models are those from the 80's.. sigh.. the whole world has moved and advanced and we are stuck with cars from the 80's..

Now then…..( P1 & P2 ) …what can ( or wouldn't want to ) we learn from this..?Should I say….the moral of the story is….? Kinda agree with Coogee…why are we still stuck with our so called "evergreen" models ( I should say…? ) And as I'm from Swak, are there going to be ANY 4wds or SUVs coming out of our "beloved" car maker?…..P2 started with the KEMBARA…

Anyway….The Cee'd impresses even me….The Koreans are sure going to get far in the very very new future…I hope to see this one "retuned" by NAZA….maybe it will be an AWD..!!!

Isn't this the same as the upcoming Hyundai FD arnejs? It seems that Estate/Wagon form is coming back again. Reminds me of the good old roti selling cars. Should be suitable for those who needs MPV-like capacity without the need of carrying 7 people.

If Proton had bought over Kia instead of Lotus, we might have worldwide domination, but then … 'if only' are the most often mentioned words, since hindsight is always right.
