More details on Kia pro_cee’d before unveiling

Kia will be revealing the production version of it’s Kia pro_cee’d 3-door hatchback at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show on the 11th next month. The new Kia pro_cee’d will have 19 different variants offering various engine options and trim levels – LX, EX and TX.

The Kia pro_cee’d is longer, lower and lighter than it’s 5-door Kia cee’d sibling, but keeps the same 2650mm wheelbase. Rear luggage capacity with the rear seats upright matches the 5-door model. The windscreen is shallower and vehicle height is reduced by 30mm. The doors are 276 mm longer than the front doors of the 5-door ceed model. Kia Motors Europe chief designer Gregory Guillaume notes that although the rear screen is steeply raked, rear headroom remains good.

Those who want more performance out of their pro_cee’d can order the optional Sports Pack, which comprises 17-inch alloy wheels with 225/45 R17 tyres, stiffer dampers, a sport-concept interior trim which features ‘tyre-track pattern fabric and silver stitching, plus alloy pedals and stainless-steel door-scuff plates.

Probably paid a fortune to have gotten this design from “somewhere”. Looks quite similar with the Audi A1,don’t you think?
But Koreans will be Koreans, outrageous design but innovation and tech.,yet to be seen. kudos for the formal point, thou.

    you see, these days.

the trend is going to be hatchbacks. suba already flattened their bottom. this Ceed marketing aspect is all the most important aspect I know and kudos to their ability for all the bru-ha-ha for the model. and it is also flat bottom.

Bimmer also having small buttock on its 1 series.

Focus is still bottomless. so as the renault and the pugs.

then P1 should have another model which is two door and a hot hatchback. Proton Putrajaya anyone?

Guys, the pro_ceed series are designed entirely in europe by the new senior management team. heading the new team are ex-top brass from merc, audi, ford etc etc. of the 15 odd team, only 1 korean. Its a continental car by birth, korean by name. but who gives a damn so long the car is good to sell at the global market. CAR BUSINESS IS GLOBAL AND CROSSBORDER! can we all agree on that and stop making comments and comparison as if toyota and kia is at the olympics? its just a good or bad car. thats all.

so, perhaps proton can think about a neo with roofline that wont break your neck when you go over a speed bump. otherwise how to sell a hatch to the world of 5′ 6” and above!!!!
