While it is a common practice these days to turn hatchbacks into sedans, some hatches really shouldn’t be turned into sedans. One such hatch is the Suzuki Swift, which looks really good as a hatch but as these spyshots show, looks as odd as a Chery QQ6 when it is given a notchback sedan body style.
This photo was snapped at Suzuki India… is this the replacement for the Maruti Suzuki Esteem sedan (essentially a sedan based on an older Suzuki Swift)?
The new Suzuki Swift Sedan will hit Indian showrooms in February 2008.
Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
It looks a bit wierd.
fat and ugly, and just look at the size of the panel gap! looks like as if it came from mainland china..
I notice the dashboard has 1 big hole on the front passenger’s side.
More choices in the market.

sorry for the picture link i posted above,
its not real ,probally photoshoped,
anyway at a glimps, just remind me of hunday elantra rear
The rear light looks like Vios…
This car is a bit awkward…
Sukuki trying their luck with elongating this car
The back looks weird.. Like a mix of the old Elantra and the new Vios. Even the lines for the back pillar is weird too.
Ugly car from SUZUKI, look like Cut and Paste at the back. Specially for INDIAN.
Ughhh it looks soo weird with an ass…
Do you rember the red butt creature cartoon? Yes this the one…
My goodness, just look at the gap at the quarter panel !! Pathetic..
Looks like it can be easily peeled off.
totallysux
Isn’t it odd when there’s already an SX4 sedan?
..And we all say Japanese design is good, well, not for this one. Eeww!
Are those panel gaps for real? Anyway, i think the Latio and City look much better than this.
In India, Swift is in different class than SX4, because it only offered in 1.3 petrol & 1.5 diesel. It was actually meant to be replacement for the ageing Esteem (old swift sedan – which last time also offered in Singapore). So it is not a direct competitor for City & Vios (not yet in India), the task which bourne by SX4 sedan.
Contrary to malaysian taste, Indian is very keen to buy this car now – shown by the booking is increasing in good number, according to one of the dealer. The swift hatchback is currently one of best selling car and booking period is about 3-4 month for petrol & 6 month for diesel.
body panel gap too big.
i hope swift sedan come in malaysia
