Want to know what the pickup of the future might well shape up like? Well, the good folk at Mitsubishi have offered their interpretation of the form, and a hybrid one at that.
It’s called the Concept GR-HEV, and the sport utility truck (SUT) study is set to make its premiere in Geneva. The front-engine rear-wheel drive concept wears a diesel-hybrid system, which the company says is currently under development.
The system combines a high fuel-efficiency clean diesel engine with a high-output motor and battery, and the GR-HEV is also equipped with a next-generation 4WD system incorporating the Super Select 4WD honed in the Pajero series as well as Super All Wheel Control (S-AWC). More on this, as well as the shape of the form, when Geneva happens.
