These are the first two images of Toyota’s C-HR Concept, officially released by Toyota ahead of the concept’s debut at this year’s Paris Motor Show. More angles will probably be released closer to the show.
Toyota says the C-HR Concept previews a new C-segment SUV, which means the brand is finally going to come out with a product to go head to head with the likes of the Honda CR-V and the Mazda CX-5, since the RAV4 has moved a bit upmarket.
However, with the car getting an European debut, we can’t say for sure that it will be a global product – it could be an Euro-centric product like the Toyota Auris designed to take the fight to other Euro SUVs like the Ford Kuga and the Volkswagen Tiguan.
We previously sighted a jacked up Toyota Auris on test – that could be the running gear for the production version of this new C-segment SUV on trial runs.

Awaiting basher say it’s ugly….and if remove the toyota badge and replace it with hyundai/kia they will say it’s masterpiece
The concept is cantiq and sporty. It looks wide.
Coming into production, the width most likely will be under 1840mm.
This kind of sporty vehicles must have good torque and acceleration, not like the 86 which, while being quite good looking, is a kura-kura, if you like to call it this way.
Looks who’s late to the party…
Lolololol!
Late to the party? The RAV-4 is in fact one of the pioneers in the CUV segment, launched in the mid 90’s.
paultan.org, as usual, never care to search the internet.
Before flaming them, be sure to look at what they have to say about the RAV4 in the article above. It mentioned that the RAV4 has moved upmarket relative to the CR-V and the CX-5. Perhaps that’s why it’s been withdrawn from the Malaysian market so many years ago.
so upmarket but never saw the initiative to make it cheap for the asean market….look at honda and mazda laughing away to the bank with cr-v and cx-5 sales.
That’s the point of moving upmarket, isn’t it? Same thing happened to the Corolla which was a lot cheaper “back in the days”. Numerous things came together to prop up its price and moving upmarket is one of them.
The latter part of the sentence was added into later on. The original post didn’t have that. Perhaps I should get a screenshot next time.
lol, k. No hard feelings. I came to the article late.
either way…upmarket for rav4…first rav4 in 1995 came with LSD and was capable of mild offroading….rav4 in 2014…no lsd…slow gearbox….heavy body….sub par plastics….not really upmarket is it….
The production model will be very very boxy…as usual….
Seem like copy Nissan Juke
by the time it comes to production, its gonna look like avanza!!
Waiting for bashers said.. profit making = capitalists.
