Our Euro spies have photographed the upcoming B9 Audi A4 sedan again – this time, its head and tail lamps are un-camouflaged. The LED DRLs are C-shaped and so are the tail lamp signatures, with both housings angular and slim.
Expected to come out in the open this summer, the new Audi A4 will be built on an upgraded version of the MLB platform, nicknamed MLB evo. The second-gen Q7 is the first to use this platform – it’s set to trickle down to most Audi models from the A4 up.
The MLB evo platform is said to pack more ultra high-strength steel, aluminium and composites, which may help the A4 be around 100 kg lighter than before. It’s also been designed to accommodate alternative drivetrains – plug-in hybrid, natural gas and even electric versions, perhaps?
There should be front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive quattro versions, six-speed manual and seven-speed twin-clutch gearboxes, as well as Avant and ‘ruggedised’ allroad estate bodystyles further down the line.

even with the camo on…
I’d still feel like yawning….
apparently the R8 has been leaked ..and it looks awfull
Looks sharp and sleek…I mean the lights. Yet to see the interior.
Why the iriz went to test on snow earlier? that looks so funny now since the used-to-be-called global car not even cant go global, but locally also suffered…what a funny messed.
Thee snow test shows all those idiots doing for the sick of doing..
Can go global, just need a different engine, which makes sense because overseas they’d want an engine they are familiar with. They want something really modern, while in Malaysia that isn’t possible because of the poor fuel and the mechanics who wouldn’t know how to deal with that.
The snow tests are there to test and calibrate the stability control system.
aud…whatever this lousy car will break down
Generally all cars will break down
Audi breakdown more.
somehow after looking at the picture, my gut feeling telling me it will be an ugly design, in my opinion Audi is moving back in term of design..gone the days of the sleek design with cool headlight and taillights…yawn…
fwd seating in the same row with other premium = ugly duckling
In true Audi fashion, it would be a nip-tuck job, that’s it.
Will it stand the test of time like a BMW or a Merc? Probably not. But be assured the cabin will be really well made.
