It seems Mercedes-Benz Malaysia is having a bit of trouble keeping its performance vehicles under wraps – the Mercedes-AMG GT S was caught out in the open three weeks before its official debut, and now it’s time for the Mercedes-Benz S 63 AMG Coupe to be scooped, thanks to reader ApexKit. Could the big bruiser be another one of the “Mercedes-Benz Dream Cars” announced yesterday, along with the Mercedes-AMG C 63?
The blurry nature of the photo above made it difficult to tell apart from a standard S-Class Coupe. However, upon closer inspection, the black multi-spoke alloys (with signature AMG machined high-sheen lip), red brake callipers, chrome line on the diffuser and what looks like a “V8 Biturbo” badge on the front fender all mark it out as a full-fat AMG product.
Under the bonnet sits AMG’s 5.5 litre twin-turbocharged V8, producing a heady 585 hp at 5,500 rpm and a tree-pulling 900 Nm from 2,250 to 3,750 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed AMG Speedshift MCT automatic transmission.

Gosh these things are gorgeous really. Sometimes I wonder if they would ever do a 4 door coupe based of this, I think it would really sell, and in fact steal some of the S class buyers who would prefer this rear…
I will presume this is a display unit or something. I hope its not meant for sale. Cos I wouldn’t want to buy a car (especially one that will cost an arm and a leg and maybe more) that was transported uncovered from the elements.
