Porsche Macan GTS revealed with 360 hp and 500 Nm

Porsche Macan GTS 1

The “thoroughbred sports car among SUVs” has been revealed in the guise of the Porsche Macan GTS. Following in the tyre tracks of its GTS counterparts, the Macan GTS is meant to be the most driver-focussed of models in the entire range with emphasis placed more on driver satisfaction as opposed to outright power.

On the outside, the Porsche Macan GTS is equipped with matte black 20-inch RS Spyder wheels while eagle-eyed enthusiasts will be able to notice the 15 mm drop in ride height – the latter courtesy of a sportier tuning of the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) chassis. Also, additional black accents are to be found scattered along the bodywork while a sports exhaust system is standard.

Another cost option for the exterior comes in the form of the Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus which “guarantees optimum illumination of the road under all conditions.” As for the cabin, the Porsche Macan GTS is trimmed in Alcantara while GTS sport seats are to be found. Also making its debut in the Macan range is the new Porsche Communication Management (PCM) infotainment system.

Under the bonnet, the Porsche Macan GTS is powered by an uprated version of the Macan S‘ twin-turbocharged 3.0 litre V6 petrol engine. In Macan GTS state of tune, it pumps out a total of 360 hp and 500 Nm of torque. Said power gets transferred to all four corners via the marque’s PDK dual-clutch transmission. Zero to 100 km/h takes just 5.2 seconds (5.0 with the Sport Chrono package) while top speed is 256 km/h.
