As a way to celebrate five decades (50th anniversary) of the Toyota Corolla’s existence since 1966, special editions of the Toyota Corolla Fielder and Axio have been launched in Japan.
Over on the Toyota Corolla Axio, the special edition model features a new dotted pattern for the lower hexagonal grille, along with a dark finish for the upper grille, Bi-Beam LED headlamps, smoked LED tailamps, side mudguards and a rear emblem. Elsewhere, the model comes with 16-inch alloy wheels, while the four-wheel drive variant gets 15-inch alloy rims instead.
Inside, the Corolla Axio also comes with seats wrapped in a combination of fabric and synthetic leather. Meanwhile, contrasting white stitching can be found on the seats, piano black-accented steering wheel and the gear knob.
On the Toyota Corolla Fielder, special features include a red line on the hexagonal grille and Bi-Beam LED headlamps. Inside, the front seats are upholstered in a combination of fabric and synthetic leather, while contrast red stitching and red accents are applied to the air vents and instrument dials.
Power-wise, the Corolla Fielder and Axio special edition models are available with a 1.5 litre petrol engine or a 1.5 litre hybrid powertrain. Both are paired to a Super CVT-i automatic gearbox. Pricing for the Corolla Fielder anniversary model starts from two million yen to 2.4 million yen (RM75k-RM89k) and the Corolla Axio from 1.9 million to 2.3 million yen (RM73k-RM88k)

Looks like a heavily facelifted 90’s model car
is it me or the front look of the JDM Corolla really similar to the Vios we have here?
