With the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations, Petronas has released a short film that celebrates family ties, even through adversity. Vroom Vroom portrays the struggles of a father and son as they are evicted from their home, and the father’s determination to bring a smile back to his son’s face despite having fallen on hard times.
“We truly believe that every Malaysian is an inspiration, and we are proud to present this heartwarming web film, which we hope will resonate with all Malaysians for this coming Hari Raya Aidilfitri,” said Petronas senior general manager of group strategic communications Zahariah Abd Rahman.
How do father and son fare? Watch the web film to find out. A 60-second television commercial version of the film will be aired from July 1 onwards.
Meanwhile as traffic is expected to grow in the build up to Hari Raya, Petronas is also helping ease the rigours of out-of-town driving, helping drivers stay refreshed and alert with the Petronas Coffee Break, while Proton is also offering a free 20-point safety inspection at select Petronas stations.

Honestly, I don’t get this ad. It shows a bit of plot here and there, but I don’t really get a key takeaway message.
Biggest issue of all is how is this a Raya ad without any reference to Raya?
It bring msg “Syukur”.
Like that also didn’t get it?
Beside that, the video is very touching my heart
I missed the late Yasmin Ahmad… Her Petronas Raya Ad’s TOP CLASS!
L.A.M.E! we missed Yasmin Ahmad
Good story but where is the consideration for safety? Racing a trolley on the streets?
Not to mention that the trolley could have been nicked from a supermarket, anti-social behaviour at best
