Maker of the legendary Italian scooter, Vespa, has announced that it will be building the 2017 Vespa Elettrica project, its first electric scooter (e-scooter). Keeping the retro-styling that made it famous, the Elettrica is Vespa’s commitment to people and the way they move.
Still at the project stage, Vespa’s parent company Piaggio Group is currently evaluating suitable worldwide partners to develop e-motor solutions together. This will result in the Elettrica concept being put into production, with sales beginning in the second half of 2017.
Celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, Vespa Malaysia, under local distributors Naza Premira, currently has the following models – the Primavera, Sprint, Sprint Adventure and S125 along with the special edition 946. The Vespa Primavera retails for RM11,888, while the Sprint 125 goes for RM15,028 and the S125 for RM10,988.
