With order books now open for the Peugeot 3008, we now bring you a walk-around tour of the fully-imported (CBU) French SUV. For the Malaysian market, two variants of the 3008 – Active THP and Allure THP – will be available.

Prices start at RM142,888 on-the-road without insurance for the Active THP, which is then followed by the Allure THP at RM155,888. These prices come with a five-year/120,000 km warranty as well as a 24-hour Peugeot Assistance service.

Under the bonnet, a 1.6 litre THP 165 S&S petrol engine powers both variants, providing 165 hp and 240 Nm of torque. Drive is sent to the front wheels via six-speed automatic transmission, with the Advanced Grip Control ensuring proper power distribution in low-grip situations. The 3008 also rides on the Efficient Modular Platform (EMP2), which also underpins the latest 308.

The range-topping Allure THP comes equipped with 18-inch ‘Los Angeles’ alloy wheels, full LED headlights and a GT Line exterior package. However, both cars come with the brand’s i-Cockpit interior, accompanied by premium features such as adjustable ambient lighting, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, an eight-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system and piano-key toggle switches.
