Sisma Auto may be more widely associated with Jaguar Land Rover, but it will soon start selling Volvos too – the company was appointed by Volvo Car Malaysia as an authorised dealer today.
The announcement is part of VCM’s dealer network expansion in major cities in Peninsular Malaysia, as part of its efforts to improve customer service and provide owners with a broader range of options. Sisma Auto’s first Volvo showroom, a redevelopment of its existing facility at Menara Worldwide on Jalan Bukit Bintang, will officially be opened in October.
It is claimed that the new dealership will enhance Volvo’s brand visibility and awareness in central Kuala Lumpur, and that owners who live or work in the vicinity will be able to enjoy a “premium ownership experience.” Sisma Auto’s Concierge Service will also be able to pick up and drop off vehicles from their home or office, with an off-site Volvo service centre providing a complete range of aftersales services.
In conjunction with the showroom’s opening, customers who purchase any new Volvo from Sisma Auto will stand a chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip to Sweden.
“Sisma Auto has an excellent track-record of managing luxury brands and with their inclusion into the Volvo Cars family, we will be able to meet the growing demand for our brand,” said Volvo Car Malaysia managing director Lennart Stegland.
Sisma Auto managing director Syed Khalil Syed Ibrahim said that the company was pleased to welcome Volvo into the fold, adding, “We are looking forward to working with Volvo, which has an exciting range of new models at very competitive prices that meet the needs of the Malaysian market.”
Syed Khalil said that Sisma Auto is still committed to building the Jaguar and Land Rover brands in Malaysia in the long term, with the company’s Glenmarie and Penang branches continuing to sell JLR vehicles.
Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
THANK GOD in Sabah here we are still with Angkatan Hebat.
July 2017 sold 33 units. Good luck.
Trust me, the company will mess it up. Better to get like Tan Chong to run it
The handling and reliability must improve.
There was a problem with excise duty payment system for the last 2 weeks in July which affected several brands which were using SPEKS (Sistem Perhubungan Elektronik Kenderaan Bersepadu) and Volvo was one of them, hence the lower registration numbers. However engaging more dealers is one way to increase sales so what is the problem?
Good for us all. Semenanjung still stuck wif BN
Err, no previously its FA (Federal Auto) is sole distro. Berjaya Motors (thats BM, u misspelled up there) never had anything to do with Volvo Cars
car brands under Sisma Auto.
Jaguar = owned by Tata India
now.
Volvo = owned by Geely China.
not surprised Sisma will start selling Proton too. since they can access Proton through Geely, who owns 49% stake in Proton. whatever it is, Jaguar has to work hard on its CSI.
Tata is not Geely
Berjaya Motor or Barisan Nasional? This is Automotive forum not political forum la dey…
Volvo Geely > All
Ah i see you’re a man of culture as well.

The alternative option was probably Proton Edar?
Since Geely took over Volvo it’s considered china made…so better proton edar be distributor…
