The 2018 Rolls-Royce Phantom recently made its way to Malaysia, just three months after its global unveiling in July. The eighth-generation Phantom, touted as “The Best Car in the World,” is priced from RM2.2 million for the “standard” model, or RM2.5 million for the Extended Wheelbase (EWB) version here. Both figures are before options and taxes, mind you.

It features the latest evolution of Rolls-Royce styling, with echoes of the recent Vision Next 100 concept. Visually more modern than the car it replaces – the brand’s average customer age is coming down; 45 years old on last count – the new Phantom is as cossetting inside as it is impressive outside.

Featuring a bespoke Architecure of Luxury, new 6.75 litre twin-turbo V12 with 563 hp and 900 Nm, massive 22-inch wheels with specially-designed tyres and plenty of hand-polished stainless steel (including the largest Pantheon grille ever fitted on a Rolls-Royce), this 6.0-metre long limo is a worthy flagship for the BMW-owned ultra-luxury brand.

As expected it has plenty of highlights and flourishes both inside and out. Check it out in detail in our walk-around video here.
