Hennessey VelociRaptor 6×6 makes its debut at SEMA

Hennessey Performance (HPE) has unveiled the VelociRaptor 6×6 at this year’s SEMA Show, which will be offered in limited numbers (just 50 units) at a price of US$349,000 (RM1,477,300) each.

That’s quite a lot of money, but you do get quite a lot of car as well. Using a 2018 Ford F-150 Raptor crew-cab as a base, HPE then goes to work transforming it into the six-wheeled machine you see before you.

Additions include 6×6 locking rear axles, upgraded suspension, 20-inch wheels wrapped in Toyo off-road tyres, unique front and rear bumpers, a roll bar and LED lights. Customers can also specify a twin-turbo upgrade package for a little extra, which increases the 3.5 litre EcoBoost’s output to over 600 hp.

To balance out the extra grunt, an optional Brembo brake system upgrade is also offered for an additional US$22,000 (RM93,125). The system includes six-piston calipers and new rotors to ensure the big truck stops more efficiently.

“The VelociRaptor 6×6 is the ultimate off-road vehicle. We will be building just 50 VelociRaptor 6×6’s, which makes it not only one of the most aggressive and unique vehicles on the market but also one of the most exclusive. Our VelociRaptor 6×6 is pure aggression on wheels – all six of them,” said John Hennessey, founder and CEO of HPE.
